Preparations for Rebalancing the world

Pura Ulun Danau Batur is the next big upacara, on April 14 for purnama  (full moon) ceremony.
But, it's actually a much bigger ceremony that I have wanted to be part of..... 
Bunutan and Pura Ulun Danau  share a God, and that connection 
means that many upacara are collaborated upon and performed together.
On the Friday before, we go to witness and help the hundreds of people there to prepare.

But first we must pray, before we do OUR work.

And I have been holding out on you, because the reason we are there is to construct a Barong, out of fruit a la Archimbolo circa
16th C. Italian, but more Complex, because this is of course  Bali, and with Dedik orchestrating the artists from Bunutan, it will be So over the top in its execution.

Nyoman (Jantuk's nephew) is on my left, and he is an artist. I have been admiring his work for years making the ogoh-ogoh.  He lives in the family compound with his young wife and daughter.

We are all doing our part, to create the Barong.  I do the simplest, because that's ALL I can do.

You'll just have to wait until Monday, to see the finished Barong as we attend the procession all day long.
AAAAAAAAh a day out of the office, a little respite from Sawah Bali.....
and some................. rebalancing.
